Growing Confident Minds

Learning2Learn Programs

A strong start to the school year. Learning skills for life.

We spend so much time teaching children what to learn. But how often do we teach them how to learn?

How to begin when they’re unsure. What to do when they feel stuck. How to use feedback, work through frustration and keep going when something takes practice.

Our Learning2Learn program puts these skills at the centre. Through hands-on challenges, games and guided discussions, children explore how learning happens and discover practical strategies that support them to become more confident, capable and independent learners.

Held just before the new school year, this three-morning program gives children opportunities to practise these strategies in a supportive environment.

With separate groups for children entering Prep–Year 3 and Year 4–Year 7 in 2027, activities are adapted to suit each stage of learning.

Help your child start the year ready to learn and build skills they can draw on for life.

Two groups for different stages of learning

Lower Years: Prep–Year 3

Younger children are beginning to understand themselves as learners. Through playful, hands-on experiences, we help them recognise their strengths, explore the feelings that arise during learning and develop the confidence to have a go.

Children practise what to do when they feel stuck, how to ask for help and how to keep trying when something doesn’t work the first time. They begin to discover that mistakes, effort and practice are all part of learning.

Upper Years: Year 4–Year 7

As children progress through school, learning requires increasing independence, self-awareness and the ability to navigate challenges.

Through interactive activities and guided reflection, older children explore how their thoughts, feelings and learning habits influence their approach to challenges. They practise responding to setbacks, using feedback constructively and selecting strategies that support their progress.

The focus is on helping children take greater ownership of their learning and recognise that they have choices in how they respond when learning becomes difficult.

What will your child explore?

Through our C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.T. Mindset Approach, children explore:

  • How learning happens: Discovering how the brain learns and develops through experience and practice.
  • Thoughts and feelings: Recognising how thoughts and emotions can influence learning.
  • Personal strengths: Discovering their strengths and recognising opportunities for growth.
  • Challenges and mistakes: Exploring what to do when learning feels difficult or things don’t go to plan.
  • Effort, strategies and feedback: Learning how different approaches, practice and feedback can support progress.
  • The Power of Yet: Moving from “I can’t do it” towards “I can’t do it yet.”
  • Getting ready to learn: Developing practical strategies to settle, focus and approach learning with confidence.

These are skills children can continue developing whenever they encounter something new, at school, at home and throughout life.

Hands-on experiences that bring learning to life

Learning2Learn is an active, engaging program where children learn through doing.

Across three mornings, children participate in interactive challenges, games, creative activities and guided discussions that encourage them to explore how they learn.

They have opportunities to try unfamiliar tasks, work alongside others, reflect on their responses and discover strategies that help them move forward.

Our educators support children to make connections between these experiences and the challenges they encounter in everyday learning.

Parents receive a daily email outlining the topics explored, along with conversation starters and practical ways to reinforce the learning at home.

The Seeds of Knowledge difference is the C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.T Mindset Approach

Our C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.T. Mindset Approach is woven through everything we do.

We help children understand that confidence can grow through taking action, receiving support and noticing their own progress. They don’t need to know every answer before they begin.

Learning2Learn gives children time to focus on the learning process itself: how they think, how they respond and what they can do to help themselves move forward.

Our aim is for children to leave with a stronger understanding of themselves as learners and practical strategies they can draw on as new challenges arise.

Testimonials

Zoe

"Lasni has changed our lives!"

We engaged Lasni at Seeds of Knowledge because our daughter required assistance with her maths. She lacked confidence in her learning and this created a massive road block of “I can’t”.

Lasni is caring, engaging, positive and supportive. She creates an environment where getting things wrong is a good thing… that mistakes make you grow.

She has helped our daughter immensely, and her attitude not only in Maths but all aspects of her schooling has improved 100%. She now loves to learn!

I cannot recommend Seeds of Knowledge enough. Lasni has changed our lives!

"It has made such a difference to their lives."

Thank you Lasni and Seeds of Knowledge for teaching Trinity and Tait the importance of a Growth Mindset and the importance of perseverance.

Trinity and Tait enjoyed working in the online environment and it was great seeing them making connections with other young people who had the same struggles.

They both definitely grew in confidence with their English and Maths. Trinity definitely knows now how to write a TEEL paragraph and this has set her up for success in high school.

Thank you so much for giving them the confidence boost that they needed. It has made such a difference to their lives.

"It was just what we needed!"

My daughter was struggling with reading & writing in prep and year one. She was getting frustrated and not wanting to engage in school.

We discovered Seeds of Knowledge and their focus on a Growth Mindset.

It was just what we needed!

She is now confident to tackle any schoolwork, she can participate in choir and drama as she can follow the scripts/lyrics, no concerns about sitting Naplan, and she is now reading chapter books and enjoying it.

Today she came home with a school award for her creative writing skills – so proud.

Each term I ask if she still wants to keep going to tutoring and the answer is always yes!

“Keen to share everything they have learnt.”

My boys were apprehensive about coming to Learning to Learn as thought it would be “work”. However, they have really enjoyed it and have been keen to share everything they have learnt.

Thanks so much for this. They have gained a lot of knowledge as well as having really enjoyed it.

Clair

“Exciting to see him confidently taking on challenges at school in a more positive way!”

Eli just loved the last learning to learn program, he came home so enthusiastic each day.

Within the first few weeks of school he told me he had already implemented some of the skills he was taught – so exciting to see him confidently taking on some of these challenges at school in a more positive way!

Casper

"We see his confidence..."

Our son had been struggling for a few years in school, and we were worried he was falling too far behind. Even his teachers were concerned and despite attempting to help as much as we could, we couldn’t make headway.

Bobby has improved in both maths and English since starting with Seeds of Knowledge and we see his confidence tackling new problems grow each day. Persistence is the key and that is what we are starting to see in Bobby after a few terms with Seeds of Knowledge tutoring.
