The Seeds of Knowledge framework is based on Relationships, Curriculum, Growth Mindset and Holistic Learning. Every child is at the centre of their learning and development.

Relationships

Seeds of Knowledge values a strong relationship with a wide range of supportive networks, including the child, parent, teachers and community members.

Seeds of Knowledge understands relationships are essential to learning. Students become motivated when they feel they have a clear and solid connection. We pride ourselves on establishing and maintaining relationships through a balanced, relaxed, hands-on approach.

Curriculum

The Seeds of Knowledge tutoring, programs and presentations are all based on a specialised curriculum to support children’s learning and development.

Tutoring

Seeds of Knowledge employs qualified and experienced tutors to run all our sessions and programs. Our team has the knowledge, tools and explicit understanding of the Australian Curriculum to best support your child.

Programs and Presentations

The Seeds of Knowledge programs have been carefully developed based on research and early childhood development philosophies, including age-appropriate tools and resources to ensure optimal learning and development.

Growth Mindset

We understand that children can experience true success only when their minds are prepared for the challenges, difficulties and setbacks they will face during new learning challenges, and as they move through life. We incorporate Growth Mindset principles in all of our tutoring, programs and presentations, teaching your child the power of their mind.

Holistic Learning

At Seeds of Knowledge, we pride ourselves on knowing every child’s individual learning needs. The whole child’s learning needs and development are at the centre of our philosophy.

Every program is based on recognising every child’s development, strengths, interests and needs to ensure that every child understands who they are as learners.

Tutoring Curriculum Framework

The Seeds of Knowledge tutoring, programs and presentations are all based on a specialised curriculum to support children’s learning and development.

Confidence, Effort, Goals, Feedback

These key processes enable the child to connect with and achieve possibilities in their learning that they could not otherwise have reached. At Seeds of Knowledge, we recognise these processes as the cornerstone of children’s learning and development. Learning these processes will enable the child to fulfil their learning potential.

Confidence enables a child to feel and believe in themselves and their learning ability. This is key for every child to achieve in life.

Feedback is a fundamental part of the learning process. Throughout the programs, the children are provided with specific, targeted feedback based on their progress and their goals.

Effort is a vigorous or determined focus to achieve learning outcomes. Without effort the child can achieve, but not to their full potential. “Effort drives potential”.

Goals are targeted and require planning. “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” Seeds of Knowledge understands the importance of breaking learning into manageable amounts. Goals are used to encourage your child to have ownership of their learning, keep sessions focused and to help your child celebrate their learning successes.

The next layer of the Seeds of Knowledge Framework is an explicit curriculum framework that is based on the Australian Curriculum.

Maths, Writing and Reading

Seeds of Knowledge highly values foundational learning of the key learning areas of maths, writing and reading as the basis for all other learning.

Each of the key learning areas has a clear focus to ensure that the learning is connected and consolidated in alignment with the school’s curriculum.
